Here at Foxboro Doodles, we strive to produce quality Bernedoodles that will make the very best family pets. My name is Emma, and my spouse Tyler and I are experienced, loving breeders that take the utmost care in every pup we produce. We are proud members of the United Bernedoodle Registry (UBR) and are excited to be mentioned as one of the world's best Bernedoodle breeders on BernedoodleBreed.com. We do not breed for quantity, we breed for quality. We raise each puppy as if it were our own and we take the task of bringing your puppy into the world very seriously. We spend the extra time and money raising our puppies right, so you can have peace of mind knowing you are bringing home a healthy, well-socialized pup. We have been involved in a wide variety of dog-related activities including: Search & Rescue, Scent Detection, Basic to Expert Obedience Training, Dock Diving and Trick Training! I have also take numerous breeding, training and other dog-related courses over the years. I absolutely love that we can apply the training tools we have gathered to our breeding program.
We are strong believers in Positive Reinforcement Training and apply that method to each puppy's early development. We encourage families to continue using Positive Reinforcement Training once they bring their puppy home.
Bernedoodles are a wonderful combination of a Bernese Mountain Dog and a Poodle. These mixes are highly intelligent and easy to train, making them a fantastic choice for a family pet. The fact that these dogs are low shedding is just an added bonus!
Our puppies are known to be very friendly, outgoing, and excellent with children. They are loyal dogs that love to be active but love relaxing as well. They will stay right at your side and just want to be a part of whatever you're doing. They are great companions for anything from hiking to romping in the snow to lounging on the couch. Bernedoodles are truly the perfect pet for active owners or families who are looking for a fun loving pal to share their adventures with!
Because Bernedoodles possess a low to non shedding coat, they do require very regular grooming. Every Bernedoodle coat is different, so it can be hard to predict exactly how much grooming each puppy will require. Bernedoodles can have straight, wavy or curly coats, or anything in between. Typically, the straighter the coat, the less grooming is required, but the more the dog may shed. If the coat is curlier, you will likely have little to no shedding, but the dog may be required to see a groomer as often as every 4-6 weeks. It is recommended that you begin having your dog groomed from a young age to help them become accustomed to it.
If you prefer not to use a groomer, you can learn to do trims yourself at home! It just takes a little practice. Keep in mind, no matter what coat type your puppy has, regular brushing is very important. Please visit our Bringing Your Puppy Home page for tips on grooming supplies.
Bernese Mountain Dogs are known for their calm nature, but Poodles do tend to have more energy. This means that Bernedoodles require regular exercise to put that energy to use. Are you prepared for the exercise requirements that come with a Poodle mix?
As mentioned above, Bernedoodles require regular grooming. This means there will be additional costs over the years for grooming, or additional time taken to groom your Bernedoodle yourself. Is this something you are comfortable with and prepared for?
Bernedoodles are incredibly smart dogs that love to please their owners. However, they still require consistent training from a young age in order to solidify consistently positive behaviours. Are you prepared for the time and effort involved in training a new puppy?
We take the time and effort to socialize each puppy extensively before they go to their new homes. But the socialization shouldn't stop there. Bernedoodles love being social with people and other dogs, so they should be socialized consistently. Is this something you are looking to do with your dog?
If you are comfortable with the points we've listed and you're dedicated to providing this care throughout the dog's life, it sounds like a Bernedoodle puppy is the perfect fit for you! Please feel free to visit our Questionnaire page to apply for one of our puppies during a time when we are accepting applications!
